Do I need manual handling training?

The HSE states that employers should identify what is needed to reduce the risk from manual handling including appropriate techniques and training.

When should training be delivered?

Training should be delivered to ‘New Starters’ and at regular refresher intervals.

What constitutes training?

Training can take many forms e.g. practical face-to-face, online, guides, or DVD / Video but without a ‘test of understanding’ it is unlikely to be accepted as training in the eyes of the law.

Does the course include a test?

Yes an interactive online test is included with a mandatory 80% pass mark. Tests can be resat if a student fails.
